What do you do when you find an error in a certificate you already issued?

Quietly editing a document that is already in the customer's hands does not fix the error — it erases the trail. This is why ISO/IEC 17025 asks for a revision rather than a correction: the original stays in the record as it was, and the new version says what changed and why. For that to hold, the decision has to survive in the software too; if the edit button is still there, the rule lives only in the training slides. In SenSight QMS, opening an issued calibration record says so plainly: changing a result requires a new revision, and existing signatures become invalid.
